Game rolls on with the Living Heritage Shows

Game- to-Eat is delighted to be the main sponsor of the Living Heritage country shows for the second year running. The 13 show schedule kicked off in Thame on the Easter weekend and then moves around the country until October 2010.
Alexia Robinson, Game-to-Eat said: “The cookery demonstrations are the ideal platform to show visitors how versatile game is and wowing the audience again will be chefs Rob Marles and Tony Robertson. To accommodate the huge interest in cooking game the demonstration theatre is planned to be bigger and better with even more seating. The popularity in the game cookery demonstrations is testament to the thirst for knowledge for quick, healthy and easy to make meals.”
Although the fresh game bird season ends in February frozen pheasant and partridge is available to use and venison can be bought all year round and all are delicious for summer time eating served hot cooked on the barbecue or cold in a salads as well as roasted or casseroled.
The Game-to-Eat campaign is now in its 9th season and at the heart of it is the enjoyment of cooking and eating game. Its seasonality gives game a unique positioning in the annual food calendar.
